Dr Jo Schafer graduated from the University of Melbourne. She gained broad experience working in various areas of hospital medicine before completing her training in General Practice, along with an Advanced Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology through RANZCOG. Most recently, she has worked in northern NSW and has a particular interest in women’s health.

Dr Jo enjoys all aspects of medicine, with special interests in preconception, antenatal and postnatal care, pelvic pain, endometriosis, PCOS, contraception (including IUD insertion), management of menopausal symptoms, and pregnancy choices, including medical termination of pregnancy.

Outside of medicine, Dr Jo enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, as well as gardening, music, and art.
