Mike Bruorton was born in the Eliza Mission Hospital in 1959. Before becoming a doctor, Mike obtained BSc (hons) and Masters degree on Zoology and worked for 3years as a Zoologist in game reserves in Southern Africa. He spent 3 years teaching and researching at the university of Natal South Africa. Mike graduated MB BCh from University of Witwatersrand in 1997 followed by 4 years in England obtaining MRCGP. Mike Brouorton joined Hawkins Medical Clinic in 2002. His medical interests are Paediatrics and Respiratory Disease.

| Mike Is a keen Fisheman regularly escaping to the Glenelg River in his boat to chase Mulloway and Bream.Once a year the blue tuna pass Pt McDonnell and Many locals travel up to 25kmx offshore to the edge of the continential shelf to catch these magnificent gamefish |
