Our patients are encouraged when ringing to identify if their need is urgent so that our nursing staff can assist in determining the level of urgency.

The clinic provides an emergency service each day for our patients with an urgent medical need.

Patients are encouraged to identify any specific needs when making an appointment. This will assist staff to find the most suitable appointment time for them ie.

• Long appointments
• Medicals (pre employment, insurance or centrelink)
• Nurse procedures ie immunisation, wound dressing or removal of sutures, pap smears etc

Medicals for vehicle licences (heavy vehicles, passenger, taxi, commercial) and army/navy/airforce  medicals are best performed by the patient’s normal doctor.

Appointments for excisions and procedures are only made following a normal appointment where the doctor can discuss the recommended procedure including risks and benefits.

To improve access for their patients some doctors have moved to an appointment system which allows patients to ring for an appointment on the day or the next day. No advance appointments are made reducing long waiting times where the doctor gets booked out weeks in advance.
