This system seeks to stop disagreements over workload, discourages the practice of medicine for profit only and encourages further study.
Assistant remunerations and conditions are negotiable, dependent on experience and qualifications and above AMA rates.
Leave provisions are generous in recognition of the need for both further study and time away from medicine. Assistants are provided with 8 weeks recreation and study leave with ten days of sick leave. In addition, as partners, generous long service leave is available.
No Goodwill is charged upon entry to the partnership.
Partners are also encouraged to join unit trusts which employ staff, purchase assets and own the clinic premises.
